Get to Know an Unusual Storm : 'Cyclone Ockhi'

December 05, 2017 0

What is Cyclone Ockhi?

Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Ockhi is an active tropical cyclone currently threatening and impacting India, and is the most intense to exist in the Arabian Sea since Cyclone Megh in 2015. The strongest storm of the 2017 North Indian Ocean cyclone season, Ockhi originated from an area of disturbed weather near Sri Lanka on November 29. Proximity to land initially prevented significant strengthening, however as it entered the Arabian Sea, favorable conditions allowed it to quickly strengthen on December 1.
So far, at least 30 people have been killed by Ockhi.

The difference between Tsunami and Cyclone

Cyclone is the large wind flows with heavy rain in a low pressure atmosphere develops over the sea which leads to heavy rain and wind flowing, where as Tsunami is the Large waves developed under the sea bed due to an earthquake, sliding of plates or volcanic eruption, which leads to formation of high altitude waves with different frequencies and duration.

Cyclone never develops a Tsunami

'Ockhi' cyclone influence has decreased rapidly in Kerala. It moved more west-northwest direction. Isolated light to moderate rain possible in Kerala.Sky will be clear most of the time. Lakshadweep will continue to have moderate wind and rain for one more day. Weakening of cyclone will start from today and move towards north west direction for first 12 hrs then turn to north-east direction and reach Maharashtra-Gujarat coast 6th December as depression.

How powerful was Ockhi?

Ockhi was described as a ‘very severe cyclonic storm’, the third strongest category according to the definitions used by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Cyclones are categorised by the maximum wind speed they generate. On Saturday, at its most powerful, Ockhi had wind speeds between 155 and 165 km per hour, touching the upper border for ‘very severe cyclonic storm’.

Cyclones with wind speeds between 165 and 220 km per hour are classified as ‘extremely severe cyclonic storm’. Those with even higher wind speeds are called ‘super-cyclones’. The most famous instance of a ‘super-cyclone’ was the one that hit the coast of Odisha in October 1999. It was the strongest-ever cyclone recorded in that area, with wind speeds touching 260 km per hour. It was also the most devastating cyclone to have hit India.
The Joint Typhoon Warning  Centre, US, issued the 6th  warning for Ockhi cyclone.  Now the Ockhi cyclone is  located 8.9 N 73.8 E near  Lakshadweep. It is now  maintaining its initial wind  speed and in the “Severe  Cyclone “status. Within 48  hours, its intensity increases  further with wind speed of  110 Km/Hr. then it reduces  to 85 Km/ Hr in the next 24  hours. It then turns to  "Depression" on the 5th day  with a wind speed of 45 Km / Hr.

Current track of the cyclone is North – West and turn to North – East on 3rd Dec. Then it slows down its movement towards Gujarat and weakens further.

Padmavati Controversy : 'BJP Supported' only to win the heart of Rajput community after 'Anandpal Encounter'

December 03, 2017 0
Anandpal Encounter:
Anandpal was a Ravana Rajput, a community born from the concubines of Rajputs and regarded as inferior by the Rajputs, especially for matrimony. When Anandpal Singh was gunned down in a controversial police encounter last month in northern Rajasthan’s Churu, he was a dreaded gangster with six murder charges and little social traction. But in a month, the 45-year-old has been transformed into an icon who has galvanised the influential Rajput community.
Rajput bodies across the state have blocked roads, vandalised public property and demonstrated against police to press for an inquiry into what they allege was a staged encounter.
Community bodies such as Shree Rajput Sabha, Rajput Karni Sena and Pratap Foundation have joined the protests.

What is Padmavati? (Source : Wiki)

Padmavati is an Indian epic period drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, based on the epic poem Padmavat (1540) by Malik Muhammad Jayasi.[1][3] The film features Deepika Padukone in the title role as Rani Padmavati, alongside Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer

with Aditi Rao Hydari and Jim Sarbh in supporting roles. Initially scheduled for 1 December 2017, the film's release has been delayed indefinitely because of the pending approval by Central Board of Film Certification.

Why BJP supported?

Bhartiya Janta Party as seen today is the Party with Most Educated people ever in the history of Indian Constitution. They well know when to take the political advantage which can be seen after Political Shift in Bihar.

Whatever the case may be in Bihar, but BJP has somehow lost its hold over some people after the radical decisions of Demonetization where GST stands in the queue awaiting for the results.

Concerning the lost support among Rajput community after the encounter of gangster Anandpal. This step is however worth taken inorder to control crime in the country. 'Control on the guns and crime' has been done effectively by the Indian Government talking of Jammu & Kashmir and Uttar Pardesh.

But this encounter has seen taken the different turf as Rajput Community,Shree Rajput Sabha, Rajput Karni Sena and Pratap Foundation have joined the protests against the Anandpal Encounter.

As for upcoming By-Elections 2017 in Rajasthan and State elections in 2019, Rajput community hold the large number of voters. This was seen as taking advantage of the 'Padmavati Controversy' to gain the votes of Rajput Community.

Rahul Gandhi’s visit to US : Reflecting a sense of maturity

November 22, 2017 0
Rahul made a good impression on his audience by taking a break from the usual rhetoric of his party when disagreeing with the Centre. Instead, the Congress vice-president accepted some (if not all) of the flaws in the organisation of his own party. Rahul even praised some of the BJP-led central government’s schemes, possibly reflecting a sense of maturity.
Rahul also admitted that Congress was complacent and arrogant going into the polls, when talking about the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. “In around 2012, arrogance crept into the Congress and we stopped having conversations with people that led to the party’s loss in the last polls,” Rahul said.
On dynastic politics, a subject for which he has been ridiculed by BJP leaders, he said, “this is a problem that is present in all political parties in India. Akhilesh Yadav is a dynast. (MK) Stalin is a dynast… Even Abhishek Bachchan is a dynast. Don’t go after me because the entire country is running like that. That’s what happens in India.

Asserting that the original Congress movement was an NRI (non-resident Indian) movement, Gandhi urged the diaspora in the United States to come forward with their ideas for another movement of transforming the country.
“Mahatma Gandhi was an NRI. Jawaharlal Nehru came back from England. Ambedkar, Patel, Maulana Azad, everyone of them went to the outside world, saw the outside world, returned to India and used some of the ideas that they had got and transformed India,” Gandhi said.
“And wherever I went, you made me feel proud to be an Indian,” Gandhi said as he praised the Indian community’s contribution to the country’s progress.
“So, I would like to start by telling you, that you are actually the backbone of our country,” he said.
He said his Congress Party represented a philosophy that is thousands and thousands of years old.

Gauri Lankesh : Put two and two together

November 22, 2017 0
Gauri Lankesh’s murder is silencing opposite thoughts. But, not allowing RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat to speak is honour of democracy.
She was a sympathizer of a lot of shady, controversial movement who created for hermany, many enemies but libtards and sickulars always play up her opposition to Bhartiya Janta Party.

False reporting :

The way of reporting can not be accepted. She use to criticise not only BJP but many others too but why medias are highlighting only BJP for this. Looks like very low graded journalism. I came to know that she was involved in maoist rehabilitation programme. Then there is a possibility in that direction also, why medias are not mentioning that.

Why Blame-Shame game?

Put two and two together and get an idea as to who may have carried out this attack.
  • She was against corrupt politicians, bureaucrats, rowdies
  • She was instrumental in getting Naxalites to surrender. Now, if this surrender had continued for more time there would be no Naxal movement! Why would they not have acted to prevent loss of their cadre?
  • She was also supportive of getting the Lingayat community divided by supporting a movement for getting this branch of Shaivism as a seperate religion.
